A couple of people have mentioned that these ACEO things might make for interesting badges, or have generally expressed interest in badges over the last little while.
To be honest I know very little about badges, I've never made or seen one. From what I understand badges are generally a little bit bigger than an art card, however they might make for an interesting mini-badge sort of thing, and since they're the same size as any other trading card they're pretty easy to get protectors for if you wanted to do such a thing.
So anyway, I decided to quickly whip up an example of what a "badge style" art card might look like. Figures I'd make some mistakes when I'm trying to make an example- My underpainting was a bit too bright which makes everything overall kind of dark. Colour choices are perhaps not the best either, but I do like how colourful it is overall. :P
Well, there we go, if somebody wanted a badge style card, it might look a bit like this. Though probably happier. I just wanted to draw a grump face, I don't do so often, heh. Seems like there's a fair amount of interest, so I think I'll probably open up for a small set of these tomorrow or sometime soon and see how it goes!

Nah, badges can be pretty much anything. They can even be 3D like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5492376/
There's really no rules for badges, except that they usually have a name on them somewhere.

It's too bad you aren't a digital artist, as if you were, you could move "Ruaidri" up a little bit, then add the sub-caption of "is not pleased."
...Not that digital is any better than traditional; your traditional work is absolutely stunning and it wouldn't have the same charm if it wasn't traditional.

Are you sure that overly dark appearance is a mistake? It seems like it greatly enhances the overall mood of the picture. If it WAS a mistake, it's now a positive trait. You appear to have taken advantage of it extremely well. After all, grumpiness is indeed a "dark" feeling. It may not have been intentional, but it certainly works wonders here. Own it. =3
