Hey there, folks! Yes, it's been a while since I uploaded anything here. But you should see the other guy!

Wait. No. That's not right.

Well. Anyway, I've been busy, busy, busy! It's a good kind of busy, you know, the kind that comes from doing things you love doing so much that you just don't have time for other things, like depression, crying, feelings, things like that. Part of my time has been devoted to this project. It's called Gateway Drug, and is essentially an excuse for me to work on multiple things at once: completing a story, writing every way, and even learning to draw. The jury's still out on the first and third goals, but the second one has been going pretty smoothly for about two weeks.

Every day, I write 1,000 words, and post them to my my dreamwidth journal thingy. To be honest, I don't know how many people even read it there (I'm looking at you, Ritter!) but having it out there makes me feel compelled to get it out on time.

Gateway Drug is about a human girl named Corey, a raptor-like fellow called Tamlin, and what happens when a drug-using wolf named Jamie becomes the third roommate. I admit it, so far there hasn't been a whole lot of drug use. But this is only part 1 :).

The thumbnail is an "artistic" interpretation of Jamie at the beginning of the story. I'm going to try to have a different character for every part of the story I post here.

Author's note: At some point, this story will be revised, but that will happen when I'm not in the middle of writing it. What you read here is essentially my attempt to get the words out of my head and onto paper in a timely and easy-to-read fashion.
