Just a quickie from a few-hour break I took this evening! Will likely relocate to scraps before too long <3

Hey! I prefer domestic scenes anyway... You should make love where you're most comfortable, yeah? Not only is it nice to have tasteful smut coming from you, but it's also refreshing to have the good old-natural domestic scenes with them. It's refreshing between all the strange fetishes with odd locations and sometimes disturbing and awkward situations.
But besides all this, I love your clean stuff the most I think. Do you draw from life for paintings like these? It certainly feels like you did, and I also love that it doesn't scream "PHOTOSHOP". Feels believable enough to be a traditional piece. :)

Hey, I'm also totally not knocking strange fetishes, odd locations, or disturbing and awkward situations -- that all sounds like a pretty fun time <3
But yeah, the part of me that motivates me to paint isn't the same as the part that motivates me to do other things, so I usually don't take my own art to that sort of place. Plus, yeah, it seems like the fetish scene is already covered pretty well here. I'll do my part to balance out the "scenes from everyday life" count <3
This one was cobbled together from a smattering of photo references and some good old-fashioned BS, haha. I do like drawing from life, but I don't know that either I or my models have the patience to sit for a painting.

Do you have a blog where you post your doodles and sketches? Maybe a tumblr account? As an artist, I find it useful to look at other artists' (whom I take inspiration from) rough work and bare bone construction work and pre-sketches. It really shows you how they work and think while doing art.
I agree with
Anbessa (above). This is a charming “everyday scene” which you have captured perfectly. Their casual poses and the monotone coloring makes the picture look like a snapshot that was taken of friends while we were visiting them.
Excellent work, Kamui. *applause*

Also hi! Would you be interested in an invite to Weasyl? It's an art site that's just recently come up which is striving to be just about the most supportive and useful art community around. If you are interested, let me know! I can set you up, all I need is an email.
Other than that, seriously thanks for all those arts you bang out. And I mean that. Your FC illustration panel blew my mind. ;w;

Haha no problem. I also think I tried talking to you at some length after your panel w/ my fran muttmonster but fumbled over my words and probably looked like a goof but oh well 6w9 If you are going to FC2013 I'll be sure not to be too shy!
But yeah, nice! Just note me your email and i can help you get set up and let you know things you could do with your page!

Oh, being the one who painted them helps, I'm sure. I'll bet there are times you'll be drawing, and you kind of know when you're fudging something instead of getting proper reference, or if there's some spot you're wrestling with that doesn't seem to want to cooperate.
You know a lot of his are very candid moments rather than structured art (which is hardly a bad thing)
Few furs capture the whole live aspect with no regard to how pornographic it is
I mean you have this every day moment http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4238493/
This that is slightly more sexualized http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6949718/
And one flat out nude yet not all that much porn http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7980880/
All of his work almost comes off as a photo or as a message as with his "it gets better" and "No prop 8" posters. which is just fantastic. many of the charter feel like they should be they way that are almost as if they are real and not some posed ideal of something you just crafted up.

All Photoshop trickery <3 It's a brush that has a canvas texture built into it. There are a few wrinkles to using it that mean it doesn't create *quite* the same look as painting on actual canvas, but for quick and dirty stuff like this, it's a fairly convincing effect!
Hmm, I don't recall where I picked this particular brush up, but I'm also on CS4, so it's definitely compatible with that version! It's just a matter of taking a rectangular brush tip shape and applying a scanned canvas texture under the "Texture" tab in the brush settings palette. This particular brush also uses a grainy brush (like a sandpapery texture) under the "Dual Brush" tab.
I totally love this. With the qualities of the color and shading, the thumbnail quite seriously looked like a faded old photograph. At first glance I thought it was a picture of a couple fursuiters sitting on a couch, until I opened the page. Excellent artwork!
