So for the past few weeks, I picked up zBrush and worked through a course to understand the fundementals of this awesome digital sculpting program.
Some of you might remember last year's upload of my buddy sirorca 's character overhere.
That was done using Sculptris, but it lacked some control over the sculpting progress. Back then I couldn't quite get the hang of zBrush. But now it's coming, and here's a first work-in-progress of yours truly.
I have plans with this model once it is done, still need to work on areas. Then I can pose it and use it for fun stuff~
A big maybe is that I'll offer turning other people's characters into sculptures in the future, with a reasonable price tag. But I'd like to understand this program better first, ofcourse. The thought is cool, to have this ultimately printed with a 3d printer, though!
Anyway, enough rambling. What do you guys think?

To have a model of your own character that you could physically touch with your own hands... Would be any artist's dream <3
I for one would DEFINITELY buy a physical model of Kael's epicmaw from the "Hello, hello" series http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1920490/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1920499/
Seriously, best maw ever~

One cool thing to do with this and a 3d printer would be to make busts and paint them to look like stone or bronze. Scalies in faux classical style could be amazing.

Some rough edges could use a little smoothing over :) But for the most part it looks awesome! I used to think about picking up zBrush but I feared it would take so much time to get used to... and what would I do with it afterwards? Other than visual character development for my stories I'm (still) writing. Looks nice!
