I've had a spacer kitty that I've been working on as of late inbetween the split-shift work hell and following burnouts that have plagued me in recent times.  Neomi managed to overhear me mention in a stream with  Ajna about how hard it would be to draw a spacesuit, and she surprised me with this drawing of something I hadn't thought of before. The suit she's wearing is what's known as a Mechanical Counter-Pressure spacesuit, or MCP. Instead of using air pressure like traditional types it uses a series of 23rd century smart fabrics, and a fluid-filled bladder gasket to keep the body from expanding to fill (which would not be good for her figure) the suit's empty spaces. It has the advantage of allowing only a 20% restriction of movement as opposed to the 300+% restriction of movements of a traditional spacesuit.

Getting to Bridget herself, she is a lifelong spacer, born on a colony on Callisto, a stone's throw away from Jupiter and living and working in her early adult years as a repair tech aboard an asteroid mining surveyor ship named the W.F. Mason. She's adapted well to "belter" life, living and working in places that few of her kind have seen or ventured to. Marking claims, and mining the sky for precious materials to send home.
