You entirely missed the point. This is obviously the story of a dog that was extorted for space experimentation after signing a waiver he could not read or understand. It's a Marxist metaphor for how the proletariat are used by the super rich for their own gain at the expense of others. This is elementary stuff, dood.
The bourgeois could never understand the plight of the speechless. Everybody knows that the space race was really a race to the bottom in safety, resources, and ethics. It was an age where you did whatever it took to reach the morning paper even if a poor dog was exploited and abused. His memoirs would lead a revolution if he could write.
