The one thing that could frighten the leader of Paradiso was water. While he was an excellent swimmer prior to his rebirth, the fact that the human he was reborn as was completely unable to swim carried over to his true form. After helping the ruler of the water kingdom on Helios, Ageaus, come to terms with his new dragon form, said merman decided to give the King of Paradiso a new form to assist him in swimming while on Helios, which gives rulers a strange marking on one of their arms. Returning to his Dragon form and pulling the Dragon Prince underwater, where his legs and tail soon fused together and his body became stremlined for swimming. Soon, Ryu would no longer need to be afraid of water, and eventually, he may learn to accept being in the water without utilizing his new Merdragon form.
