A long over-due commission requested purchased in early November, I finally got around to inking it in February. I was supposed to color it too, but I lost my colored pencils and found them again in March... forgetting this was sitting on my desk waiting to be colored.
Anyways, after another Email from Lionel the other day, I hopped right to it.
Printed off on heavy weight card stock, I colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils. I then used a fine-line gold paint marker for the gold pattern.
Anyways, it goes to show that I still have a lot to learn about colored pencils... especially when dealing with dark colors (Black armor, black clothing, black shield, etc. etc.). At least the original's yellows aren't so washed out, and the gold is shiney.
Well, I hope he likes it.
lineart printed on 8.5"x11" Print Works heavy weight (65 lb.) white card stock.
Colored with Prismacolor colored pencils
Gold done with a Y&C Metallic Marker with an Extra Fine Nib
Edited in Photoshop CS2 (original line art laid over color scan).

Thank you. I had photos to use for reference from the owner's LARP outfit... but I had to make some judgements of my own, having little information besides the images I had (which didn't have info about the sheild, sword, etc.). Oh, well... I think it turned out okay..
Everything is supposed to be black, actually, but I'd lose all of the detail (not good enough with multiple colors to make black out of other colors and make it look good yet). So stuff kinda looks gray. Erf. The marks are supposed to be battle marks. ^.^
