Just sharing some of our great website artwork for those of you who haven't seen it yet, as a celebration of the ONLY TWO MONTHS REMAINING UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD mark!
This pic is of our "The Chosen One". The Chosen One is above a Survivalist, since every doomsday prophecy includes a Chosen One: an individual who does not know his or her raw power until it is time to save (or end) the world! Ultimately the Chosen One will decide the fate of us all! The Chosen One role currently costs $120, and grants you entrance into the convention, and all that entails, as well as other perks, such as access to the supply cache (con suite), additional limited-edition EotWC gear, access to The War Room (VIP lounge), MRE dinner, and more! All of this in-addition to regular con membership which includes a T-shirt, unlimited cocktails during the End of the World Party, great panels, games, and entertainment, and the fandom's most advanced laser and light show! We're not claiming that the world is going to end. We are not Mayan archaeologists or anything like that. However, many people do believe (right or wrong) that the world is going to end at the end of the 13th Baktun cycle, as the axis of the earth comes into alignment with Mayan constellation Xibalba Be.
You can debate what will happen, but you can't debate that many people, crazy or not, honestly believe that Xibalba Be is an ominous omen. After all, the word "Xibalba Be" means "road to death". The Mayans believed its the path that the spirits of the dead follow as they move on to the afterlife. None of this is debatable.
If we believed the world would end on Friday Dec 21 at midnight, do you think we would be a weekend-long convention? The alignment is on a Friday, its a cool theme, and its going to be lots of fun. Its going to be even better if nothing happens! You should come
