I figured that since I don't usually do that, and for some reason I have a hard time focusing recently, I'd show what one of my comics looks like while I'm still working on it.
It has six layers, the top layer being only text and the bottom layer containing the whiteness and rough color sketchiness to be drawn over. Sometimes I do only two or three layers, but now that PDN has spoiled me I have a hard time using MSPaint anymore (well, other than for spriting, which Paint is a lot friendlier for).
In panels 1, 2, and 3 you can see where I drew everything centered differently, then moved part of the background layer around. In panel 5 you can see where I accidentally drew on one of the upper layers and had to cut/paste it onto the bottom, overwriting white with transparent. None of this will be obvious in the final version; most of the older comics in my gallery had many, many more goofs.
I had this idea for a comic written out and ready to be drawn long ago, definitely before meeting Ginger and probably sometime last year. For some reason I didn't get around to doing any of it until this afternoon.
The "story" to this comic is that two skunks and two raccoons have had some trouble with dates in their recent pasts, and so they introduce their friends to their siblings and hope things work out for the best. The story behind the comic is just that I read about raccoon dousing behavior and figured it would be funny/cute to allude to that in one of my otherwise bland macro/vore comics.
