I don't think there is a single instance of a fatal Brown Widow bite. They have a harsh bite, but it's less systemic and more localized than the other members of the Genus.
Even Black Widow mortality is pretty low.
I think Red Widow mortality is also pretty much zero, but mostly because they have much different habits and don't often interact with humans.

To say they all have a fatal bite doesn't really match up with the statistical evidence. :P
They have bites of medical concern, certainly. And yes there are many factors associated with spider bite mortality.
But in general, I find the danger to be overstated.
There is certainly no evidence to support any fatal Brown Widow bites. Painful yes, but non-fatal.

My mom was prego with one of my brothers when she was bit by one. Really messed her up, but they were able to save both her and the child. Unfortunately they gave her antivenom. So she can no longer be treating for something like that again. Or at least that's what they told her over 14 years ago.
