Brian thinks it's a pearl. It kind of looks like one, but I dunno. We found it in our Saltwater Tank.

We've had it for a coupla months, along with what's sometimes called a Fire clam. And we have sand, yes.
But I didn't figure a fire clam as a pearl maker.

Well, I checked on my tank forums, and your are indeed in luck. Fireclams can make pearls, indeed its a lot more rare for clams in general to make them, since oysters tend to make them a lot better. So that could possibly be a pear that it managed to spit out. Now where did you find it exactly? Was it located near the clam by chance?
Its a pink Baroque pearl. Formed from 2 separate grain of sand in one oyster over time. While unusual shapes can be sometimes worth more in this condition you have really nothing more than a conversation piece or to put into vinegar. Really thats the only way to find out if its a pearl for 100%. If it dissolves in vinegar its a pearl.
Well, you could always pop it onto Etsy as a craft supply for 15, although Ebay would allow people to bid on it higher if they want. Consider that you put a bunch of those on a necklace, and look at the price...Every time I come in to restock my friend's shop, I see pearl necklaces from unpolished pearls go for over $100, and they are quite interesting to look at.
With no way to prove its worth that, lack luster finish amd seeming extirior damage its maybe a few bucks. And chances are thats to someone that will just want it for the science expiremnt of disolving a pearl. When I was in florida in 99 I went to see world and for 10 bucks you get to pop open an oyster and seeif there is anything in side. My sisters got both a white 7.5MM pearl. Me the boy came across a 13MM blue silver. Worth a good chunk of cash :P
Its sheen is too smooth to be salt deposit.
My best guess would be a pearl of sorts. Though, unless you've had the aquarium for 2-6 years and have mollusk's or clams, I doubt it is one. http://www.jewelrynotes.com/freshwa.....he-difference/
Maybe take it to a jeweler or someone who might be able to help you out.
Your local pawnshop might be able to tell you who to go to for advice on this.
