Part of the challenge to doing this was choosing, totally at random, the species I was going to draw for the title character. When I wound up choosing a cacomistle, I found that I had the extra challenge of trying to draw one that did NOT look like Chester the Ringtail Cat, a task not simplified by the scenario I had already decided upon.
(For those wondering, a cacomistle, despite the moniker of 'ringtail cat', is not a feline; it's actually related to the raccoon.)
