Self explanatory. I won't bother putting it in scraps.
It came to me while I was waiting for my next class. I might start drawing more family pictures like this.
Here's Archimedies, training Grey and his brother Rei while they were still youngins, teaching them the basics of Kata in Tai-Kwon-Do.
Can you guess what pose and strike they've just done?

:nod: You are correct. It's just a simple Palm-strike(thrust). And the pose is your basic and trusty left-forward fighting stance. (left foot forward. get it? harhar)
Thanks for at least attempting to guess ^^ At least people are actually reading my descriptions, and thank you for the kind words!

When it comes to martial Arts, I'm always in for giving a guess. As for descriptions, I always read them, though many do have a stupid sense of actually not writing anything meaningful or relevant to the image created. Your descs have been very informative about the image and not blasphemous crap, and I'll always be happy to read them.
:smiles: Thank you! I somewhat have difficulty with the proportions when it comes to older characters in the same picture with youngins... they're either waaaay too disproportionate to make sense... or way to proportionate to make sense. If that even makes sense? XD;
Anyway, glad you noticed. I did it purposely to show that the father was, essentially "one step ahead" of his sons. He's leading the kata, so the next strike was going to be a knife-hand strike to the throat since the palm strike to the forehead (shown above in diagram A) is meant to throw the opponent off guard and present an open target. Since the head of the assailant is, without question, being pushed back from the force, it leaves the throat exposed and with a knife-hand to the throat, would, in theory, incapacitate the would-be attacker for a good while to complete the rest of the kata on the target before moving onto the next.
In essence, if this was an animation cell, Grey and Rei would begin to open their fists up while their father, being slightly quicker and more agile, has already made the second strike, while Grey and Rei mimic it.
They're young, so they haven't learned to do the almost perfect synchronization that you sometimes see in some martial arts flicks where the master and student are neck and neck, almost perfectly fluent with each other when practicing.
I hope that wasn't too long winded? ^^;

Ahhh. Very nice! My little sister visted Germany not too while ago... she said it was nice there. I envy her.
Oh, I know it's spelled with an 'e', I just like mispelling certian words on purpose. Like 'Tanks' or 'Thanko' or 'Ghezuntito' ...yanno, at a pitiful attempt to sound funny, or perhaps to take advantage of the ability to type them out rather than pronounce them (which sounds a lot better in one's head) =p
But thank you again ^_^

Thank you! ^^
Honestly... you think it would've been, right?. Most of the time, it is, but I find that when I don't think about it, -at all-, when I'm drawing it... it just works itself out.
When I finished sketching out the poses, I was surprised that when I had laid out the outline sketches of their body shapes, that Grey and Rei were almost perfectly even.
It actually scared me a bit that the poses were 'almost' spot on XD;
