I did look up d & d red dragons, and I can see the resemblance. They both have segmented horns, ear fins, and a strong jaw, but beyond that I think that they're fairly different. http://forums.everything-dragon.com.....446_3_7498.jpg

Love how the Guardian's lower jaw seems to overlap and "fit" over the upper jaw, the fae's fins are also very nice! But why is the mirror dragon sticking its tongue out?
Ohh I'm so anxious to see more of this idea, all these amazing images are a terrible tease! Would love to learn some of the lore surrounding these guys, if there's any around atm.
