Sek-Raktaa, Gwenhyfar and Cassandra are adventurers and as such often find themselves in situations like these, where they have to fight their way out of a tight spot. The group complements each other rather well, Sek being a spellcasting swordsman, Cassy being a skilled archer and thief and Gwen being a cleric and healer of the group. All of the characters roles are being portrayed rather well on this picture.

The group is being portrayed battling the undead inside an old ruin they were exploring previously. Sek having succeeded slaying one of the foes with his sword, returning him to the dead, is now trying to pull his sword from his foe while being attacked by another. knowing a few combat spells however Sek is far from defenceless yet and he is able to fend his attacker off by setting him on fire. Meanwhile, Cassy is using her bow and arrows to rain down death upon her foes. She's a bird-of-prey, a falcon and has natural sharp eyes. Several of the vile undead have already fallen to her superb marksman skills and she already has another arrow drawn and ready to release with deadly, pinpoint accuracy. Gwen is taking a break from chopping up undead with her axe and holding back behind Sek and Cassy's cover for her to cast a spell. She's the cleric of the group and equipped with the knowledge of various healing spells. She might be casting one those spells at this time or maybe she is even casting a spell to harm the undead in the immediate vicinity.

As for when the scene is playing out storyline wise, well... This will be neither the first time nor the last time of the group to be battling the vile undead so anything is possible really.

The scene might very well take place in the very beginning of how the small group originally formed. Trapped inside a city besieged by hostile forces with the walls finally crumbling and allowing the attackers to storm the place. Finding themselves on the losing side, they all had to flee to escape the slaughter and eventually found each other in the ensuing chaos, entering the sewers beneath the city and hiding there. They would eventually settle on trying to find an escape route through the sewers, exploring the vast labyrinth together which will eventually lead them into long lost and burried ruins housing the very undead the group is battling right now. In the end however they succeeded in their initial quest, finding a way back to the surface through the ruins they found and later decided to continue their journey as a group.

The scene could also be in the aftermath of the fruitful negotiation series with the crafty noble Theresa persuaded and seduced Sek to have the group work for her. RPG veterans will know that if anyone, especially a noble, wishes to hire adventurers, it usually involves climbing down into a monster infested hole to retrieve some sort of artifact or trinket for them. Well, that's how it's usually is in video games and many other stories so this is no exception either.

I suppose that in the end however, you can pretty much make up your own story of how this scene came to be. ^^
