Redesigned Ransom. I kept many of the original features including his heterochromia, but got rid of some of the 'jokey' ones, like his 'Bone-R' tattoo. I also changed his paw and foot 'socks.' In my little character profile I have in my head for him, he just found out his granddaddy was a fox. I figured that helps explain why I like drawing him with such long ears and big tail.
The background isn't much, I really only intended to have a white background but I figured I'd done that with this character too much so I went with a minimalist dawn kind of feel. I haven't drawn anthros in a while, and I thought it would be in the spirit of things since I'm beginning to sort out a lot of stuff like this old debt and what have you. I guess the dawn is kind of metaphorical, then.
Well, whatever.
Thanks for sticking with me all these years.
I suppose I should also menion that since my actual workstation is in repair I had to use my old XP one, so most of this was done in CS3 which is a pain in the ass as I'm used to CS5, and mostly different brushes.

I dunno if I'm a fan of this change. I admit, Ransom was my first furry crush, hardcore, and now, looking at this, just doesn't have the same effect. There's something about the face and proportions that seem a bit off and though it is a completely different style of artwork (Not nearly as cartoon-ish) it doesn't feel as if it's really Ransom anymore. Sure the fur is the same and the eyes and piercings, the look is more confident instead of innocent or lustful. He's lost any girlish/femboy figure he might have and instead, replaced it with muscle and a more dominant feel. I always thought of him as an actor of innocence, though we all know what he's really like, and with this change, who knows what may come? Though I may find change to be a bit off, I'm still sticking around to find out what you might have in store for this lovely husky and whatever he might get himself into, or get into him.
