This was done in a couple of hours while I was waiting for epoxy to dry and Rokemi's head. There is no fur on the face, just paint. The entire face is the original sculpt right down to the eyelids and nose. I may offer some premades like this for sale for those who cannot afford a fully decked out fursuit head. I do however; want to find a paint that sticks to the resin a bit better first.
This was also a great test for the blank itself, I put the hinges in the slots without looking at how the jaw was lining up, (to see if the slots would in fact work as intended) and when it was all together the top and bottom jaws lined up flawlessly. This means that unless the base is warped for some unknown reason, the mouth will always line up! I used the resin bases nose and eyelids as well to prove that they are in fact functional. Other then paint, NOTHING was added to the face. It does have an articulated jaw. The only adjustment that may need to happen is the tear ducts. While they look really cool, someone with a larger head my have some vision obstruction caused by them being there. The last test for this head was the break away grooves. In short, there was never a dremel used on this base. I popped everything apart by hand. The only thing that required a razor was the removal of the "placeholder" eyes on the base.
All in all I was very happy with t he result.

Have you looked at paint geared towards hobby model painting? There are models made for resin and some guides that might work out.
And that mask looks pretty darn cool with the paintwork. Could do something like that to do a masquerade mask too. And the fur on the edge really helps vs just being a painted mask i think.

this methodf might be good for customers who don't mind a painted surface and whose characters have complicated designs. :)
question is, will painted gaze on the tearducts look good? otherwise the wearer would have to wear some kind of mask underneath, or paint their face.
aside that, gorgeous work, and it shows the quality of your moulding work. :) now I want one, too... don't have the money atm, but my wicked mind just came up with a cat-snake hybrid character. ^^

In the ones I will be selling there will be mesh to hide the eyes. :) This one didn't need it as it was to be used in a very tame "haunted" barn and it would be too dark to see with the addition of the mesh. It's so dark in there that you would never see the wearers eyes.
