To further my practice with this style, here's an anime (or possibly safe yaoi) version. I could not get fur/ears that I liked so he looks a bit more "human" than I wanted. Still, it's a good second look at my character. I may come back and revise this later to make him more...fuzzy. The character design in this case is based off a drawing I did for a tabletop game character for a game that never got played.

Some character background...I don't have long hair - I had it once, long ago, but it looked quite dumb at best. I've always wished I looked better with long hair, but I just don't have the style sense to grow it I guess. That said, the character's propensity for wearing hoodies is very much my own...they're just so comfortable. I'm slowly revising the character design more and more while I try to get comfortable with drawing anthro characters. The faces, in particular, give me a lot of trouble since I can't quite wrap my mind around how to draw them correctly yet. The original version of Watcher, while I liked it, came out a bit too catlike to really fit in my head as a good final design. That said, I loved the body design of the first drawing, and if I were to ever make a suit based on the design, I think I'd have to modify a hoodie with the same patterns I used in the first drawing to wear as optional clothing with the suit.

Since it's black and white, I'll fill in the gaps: red hair, blue/green eyes. ;)

Oh yeah, and I'm aware he has no rat ears ;) I couldn't draw any that I was happy with...if I add some later, I'll post the new version and scrap this one.
