Dammit, can't get good photos of this, the flash on the camera keeps mangling things :P
Anyway! It's a gryphon head I've been working on for a while, part fur and part feather. The beak's just foam covered in fabric, the eyes are sculpey (woo for easy solutions to not having eyes!) and the feathers are all individually set and glued into the head.
It's not exactly the most hardy of coverings, but the feathered bits are AMAZINGLY soft and shiny, and anyway, I like how this came out :)
Should be up on sale on furbid tomorrow :)

yah, that picture makes it worse, but the beak is quite big. Then again, I love the really big eagle beaks myself :)
The ironic thing is, the head itself is the most lightweight one I've ever done - there's no heavy foaming, the feathers are obviously incredibly light and the small amounts of fur don't add much. It's insane - great vision too. :D
