I saw the saddest episode ever... This campy children show took a turn to the deep when it showed the Ice King & Marceline in "Remember Me"
An EPIC episode... there were no explosions or curses or slaying of monsters... just two people with tragic pasts...

I felt so moved I started drawing this peice in near tears... Marceline not wanting to but yet still glad to see her old friend the Ice King... a surprising twist to me on all fronts. The episode ended with her in tears & singing the best song that had moved me.

To me... it felt so much like dealing with a friend who has a mental illness... it seems like most people want to deck & run to the woods but if you are a true friend, you stick it out.
You are there because despite all the craziness & tantrums & episodes, you still love them... & perhaps some of the craziness is what makes you like them in the first place....

Simon is still in there... she won't give up on him.
