From the kitchens of
osiris we have a wonderful rice sensation, colourful, exciting and full of flavour.
Once again, something I made for
scorch
VEGAN
NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS
1 tbs parsley flakes
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp red pepper
1 can sweet peas (15 ounces worth if you have fresh ones)
3 whole artichoke hearts (preserved)
1 cup rice
3 cups water
2 tbs sweet and sour
Some broccoli and cilantro to taste.
Chop artichoke hearts into small strips. Put them into a large saucepan (or an automatic rice cooker).
Drain the sweet peas, and combine with rice, red pepper, parsley flakes, and turmeric in the saucepan. Stir well.
Cook the mixture on medium heat or using an automatic rice cooker until the rice is tender, and the yellow coloration is the same through out. Stir if necessary to make sure moisture is absorbed properly.
Once the rice and vegetable mixture is finished, combine it with the sweet and sour sauce in a separate container. Serve with some cilantro and broccoli (feel free to pour a little extra sweet and sour sauce on the broccoli).
OPTIONS
Be careful with spices--sometimes, a little less or more of the same thing can change how Strange-Charm Rice tastes. Always stir well, whatever you add or take away.
I suspect that for the non-vegan option, some beef would be pretty cool in this...
WARNING: If you are too dumb to handle heat, spices, and/or a knife, DO NOT COOK. OSIRIS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURY TO SELF AND OTHERS IN CASE OF STUPIDITY.
