The North Ceranian Shaggard is a cousin of the Anuebio (link), and it is a large omnivorous creature that usually lives by the sides of lakes or beaches. Also called the 'Water Shaggard.' Though it subsists mainly on vegatation, it will eat insects, fish and small rodents. The shaggard has clever three-fingered hands which it uses well. It can grab fruit, move obstacles out of its way, and has even displayed the intelligence to crack open hard nuts with rocks and pound tough plants to make them easier to digest. The Shaggard can also walk on all sixes when it wishes to move quickly and stealthily.
The Shaggard can swim very well, with the use of its six limbs and tail. Water Shaggards have been known to swin for up to 45 hours at a time, though the reason for this is unknown. Some shaggards have been shown to dive for seaweed and algae, but this is not a trait shown in the majority of the Water Shaggard population, while the prolonged swims are, so the behavior is currently in scientific debate.
