I love the concept for this piece! The hawk seems to be a bit upset and confused at the larger talking raptor. Seems like a find job to me, what better way to educate about birds than being one yourself.
And even in your sketches your feather work is impressive, scary!

I have both red tailed hawks and golden eagles on my ranchs, and both they and your picture are beautiful. I have seen three hawks get together and attack simultaneously to drive a golden eagle away from their three very well defined territories. If two more hawks flew in, it would be the eagle looking worried instead of the hawk... Excellent expressions!
