I am :) I have alot of Cherokee on my mothers side. My fathers side is mostly German. I am a genealogist as well so I know my roots pretty well.

I can claim a very small bit of Cherokee, but not enough to be on the Roll of Nations, legally buy peyote, own eagle, hawk, falcon, raven or crow feathers.

I don't think I have enough either. My husband, if the oral history can be proven, he does. His great grandfather was said to be full Comanche. but I have had a very hard time tracing his lines back.

The Native American tribes never kept records and the government wasn't interested in it either sadly.

I know I am quite a bit Native American myself with my dad being a small part yaki and my mom being more than half Cherokee

Dances with Wolves? :D I've got some Cherokee (I think it's Cherokee, but might be a different tribe) on my mom's side, and my kids have it from both sides. :)

The lesson I learned from that movie is never ride into a Sioux camp screaming after they've worked themselves into a frenzy. I have a little bit of Cherokee in me from my mom's side of the family (and maybe some from my dad's side).

That's either a very small bison or an absolutely massive longhorn.

Longhorns tend to be massive, but I also think that's a small bison.
