This one was done to try out Derwent Inktense pencils some time ago.

A couple of Z-type triaformicas, Arr-Mun-Ka and Sho-Kann chatting.

These two belong to a thing that I feel stupid to call a "couple" since there's three of them, which is totally normal for triaformica standards (being naturally polygamous).

Anyway, the third one of the group, an X called Raam-Err is very high in the hierarcy of their tribe, in a sort of shared leadership role, so these two have a bit more special position inherited from their mate.

Arr-Mun-ka on the left works as Raam's personal second in command, sharing some of his responsibilities in the tribe. He sports a rare color morph (botched the coloring here, he SHOULD have warm, a bit brownish gray skin and his neck spots should be orange) and an uncommon feature of having his markings run all the way up to his face. He'd actually be quite pretty for his species' standards if he didn't look and act like having a grudge against fun. He is strict yet trustworthy, but really not the person who'd appreciate jokes.

Sho-Kann, also known as Needleneck is a petite thing (who's markings look way too red here. Also his neck spots should have yellow core which I completely forgot) who's personality is pretty much the polar opposite of Arr-Mun. He is easygoing and relaxed and is perfectly happy to let others concentrate on the important responsible things while giving his support from the side. He's taken it his personal business to even out Arr-Mun's grumpiness, and has managed to wiggle his way into the very small group of people who Arr-Mun tolerates nonsense from.
