Scraps: Where did you pick up art?
I picked up a love of art when I was young. I remember around the age of 7 seeing my first playboy that my brother had found in the bathroom at the library. Looking back at it now, that probably should have been more creepy than it had registered, but it was the 80's. My first attempts at art involved the usual childhood art that is greatly encouraged in America, before it is cruely snatched away in favor of boring shit that you'll never use in life. I remember copying an Egyptian symbol fairly poorly when we used to live in Hawaii, I was so fascinated by the female form back then.
Then for a long time I didn't draw. I got to highschool and I doodled crappy little things on the edges of my notes and papers. When I hit about 17 and graduated from highschool I started drawing on my computer more and more.
Now, back in college, it's nice to see that some things don't change, and I'm still doodling. Though it seems to take up the entire page now - and now distracts my mind when I should be paying attention to class presentations.
