A Big Bad Wolf Gets His Just Desserts (Part 3)
[[ This is part 3 of the series. It doesn't stand alone. Please read the prior parts first. ]]
Did someone say pie? NINE pies, to be exact! After eating a meal that would have satisfied a family of seven. Is the wolf's tummy up to it? And what of "sweet Molly"? Will she be the wolf's final dessert, or is something else in store?
(Story contains conversations between furry and human, long loving descriptions of various foods, and gluttony - lots and lots of gluttony!)

Wolf hasn't even started on the real bet - the meal he has to finish after he eats the pies. *grins* That's going to be one seriously over-stuffed wolf by the time things end.
The full working copy Vargr has on the machine here is almost finished, and seems to be running right around 9 chapters so far. 'Course, that could change depending on how many pages wuff puts in each section. Vargr has been using around 4 pages in each part, since that seemed like nice 'bite size' chunks for folks to read. But wuff is considering adding a few more pages, to keep the number of chapters more "managable".

*snickers* You think the wolf there is eating well now, wait until the "real" meal begins!
Vargr can see it now - hords of furs descending in ravenous hunger upon buffets and food joints throughout the land after reading the latest "installment". A sudden collective increase in the weight of furry fandom as a result of wuffy's story. *giggles*
(Ah ha! You've discovered Vargr's "secret"; this is all a plot of wuff's to a create a wealth of round-belly'd critters for wuffy to hug and cuddle. And for this discovery, you must now be subjected to the "buffet of doom". *Dragonwuff grins wickedly as he pushes an over-laden buffet cart into the room* Shall we find out just how big a snow-kitty's tummy can get? *Evil wuffish laughter follows*)

*grins* Vargr would like to pretend that he maps his stories out from start to finish, and just writes the action up "along the way". But surprisingly few actually work out that way.
Normally Vargr gets an idea, and a lot of the key story elements, and plays those out in his mind until he has the story 'memorized', kind of like watching a play in wuff's head. Then the wuff starts writing things down.
But, frequently, as Vargr writes, the characters seem to take on a life of their own. They do and say things wuffy had never imagined in the 'preview' in his head.
For instance, in the Big Bad Wolf story, it was originally supposed to have been a very short little Fairy Tale. The wolf was originally a complete villian, with an overwhelming greediness that wouldn't quit. But he didn't want to stay that way as Vargr was writing him. And the "little story" is now up to nearly 40 pages in Vargr's working copy, and both Wolf and Molly are much richer characters.
Vargr WOULD like to put out a book one day. But most of wuff's stuff is pretty narrowly focused to draw a wide enough audience for general publishing.

*hugs* Thanks for the vote of confidence, Rank. Purhaps Vargr will find a story with broad enough appeal to make it worth trying to publish.
Actually, if you count Convention books, Vargr DOES have published stories. *grins* The two for the FurFright con-book (" 'Ware Were", and "The Costume") were both "published" to the general public (or at least to the con-going public). That's a start anyway!

Oh!! Well I can't get those books, since I can't travel to the US for a few days for a conference, due to school. Bummer.
And yes, it's a start!
Better leave you to finish the story! hehehe
*tries to hug the draggywuff*
Too...huge...to...hug...aargh!!
*draggywuff belly squishes the chubby husky*
^__^ hehehehehe

*smiles* Thank you.
Wuff figured you had to be enjoying that story, to take the effort you did to help improve it.
No spelling mistakes this time? Must have been a fluke! *chuckles*
Truthfully, Vargr's Author has to get help from his co-workers at the office when doing the final edits on the technical manuals he writes. The word processor can't find mis-spelled words when the mistake is a properly spelled word in its own right (like the "oven/over" and "you/your" errors you spotted). Seems to be a rather common problem, considering how many times Author has corrected similar problems in other tech writer's works. It's very easy to see what you INTENDED to write when you read things, instead of what is actually there.
Thank you again!

Awwww!! Not only is this a good story fatfur-wise, but it's so sweet...I mean, I can just sense that those two may be in the age range for marriage, cuz I can tell there's gonna be a relationship more than the team...but let's get to parts 4 and 5, first...
This is an instance of the characters "deciding" that this story should be going in new directions. Originally, Vargr had planned a simple parable with rather 'shallow' characterizations.
But Molly and Wolf had other ideas. *grins*
Frankly, Vargr thinks "their" version is a MUCH better story than what this wuffy had originally planned.
