I use blue and purple very often in my work and I do find it can still make an image look warm, just not nearly as warm as a warm colour would.
All depends on the emotion and setting. As well, I use a purple overlay, rather then multiply, this gives a bit of a glow even though it's a cool colour.

This is so warm and sweet I really miss snow. It's been so many years since I've had to bundle up to stay warm from the cold snow. I really miss it. The blue hues and tones to the piece look gorgeous. I LOVE her markings and boots ^_^. Such a sweet commission, really beautiful
