Sketches, inks, and value in Paint Tool Sai; post-work in Photoshop.
NOTES: Print #4 was a real challenge. I'm not kidding, I spent at least two days of work on that armor, and that work included a brief period where I actually teared up and lightly kicked my desk in frustration. But I came out of it and now she's done! ♥ This will appear in the interior pages of the 2nd edition of the Guild Leader's Companion.

Believe me, Epic Slant Press is always very good to me and they are amazing to work with. (Okay, Anzel is. He's the only one I deal with directly but he's awesome!) The images are all for donators (and a few of us involved in the process) for getting this book printed, which is part of a series on general gaming principles. This one's about being the leader of a guild in any game. It's a great read.

I really like this - the big heavy contour line and the sepia-tinted monochrome are really beautiful! - but I also really appreciate you talking about how long this took. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who dumps all this time into stuff, and my stuff isn't quite as nice as yours!
Thank you! ♥ The contour line and sepia tones were both added in post but they're what people seem to like the most (that rhymed, oi). :D The original B&W will be good for the interior of the book, but I like to spice the prints up before I post them online.
It's good to know I'm not the only one. Sometimes I just get so frustrated that I can't be like some artists I know who can turn out amazing work in three or four hours. I'm just too much of a perfectionist and I also have a lot of room for improvement, so I can wind up spending 8 extra hours in frustration just trying to get something right.
