I can't help but imagine this as part of one of those point-and-click-style adventure games, a la Monkey Island or The Dig. In fact, I can also see myself patiently waiting for the loading screen to pass, maybe flicking through the manual while the drive chugs along... somehow warmingly nostalgic despite my never really having experienced that sort of gaming.
