Yup! Vegetarian, didn't drink, didn't smoke, was kind to dogs and to kids (as long as they were blonde-haired, blue-eyed kids).

His doctor recommended a vegetarian diet to combat some sort of crazy flatulence problem he had, but he ate meat anyways.

He only ate it on occasion and claimed to be a vegetarian.

And...honestly, most vegetarians I know eat meat occasionally, so that wouldn't disqualify him from the title. Well it should, but it doesn't because the real world is more flexible than the definitions. Or something. I don't know. I'm rambling.

He was actually afraid of stomahc cancer through contamined meat back then, but he was indeed preferring vegetables since his youth. He was also never seen smoking (a true fact) yet there were instances where he was drinking alcohol, although extremely rare. Nevertheless he was the most insane lunatic I've ever learned about.

Actually, it's been suggested that that was propaganda spread by Goebbels. Although there's evidence on both sides of the argument, so who knows?

Although I believe he did like chocolate cake.

may be its the same story as most non german people believe that the germans are eating a lot of "sauerkraut" (thats why they called us "krauts") wearing short leather pants or celebrating the whole year "Oktoberfest" and such things. :D sry folks thats only fitting for the bavarians :D

really i learned somewhat in school about WW2 and the cruelity of hitlers actions back then - but no teacher ever talked about the farts and burps of hitler ...sadly cause then the class had been a lot funnier and more interesting for us :)
