Holy moley, I'm actually submitting something!? And it's not Kingdom Hearts!? ...It's...i-it's...IT'S INUYASHA!?
Looking up reference to work on my next cosplay has had me wading through a lot of InuYasha characters. That lead me to read a couple of really good fics, and to remember a few random bunnies that had been patiently waiting in the eaves for me to glance their way before ATTACKING ME. ARGHGETTEMOFFGETTEMOFF!!!
Anyway, I drew a few things, particularly Sesshomaru, as he's closest to my character. (Side tangent, duuuuuuuuude, Fluffy-sama GROWS his ARM BACK. And gets his own weapon. And saves Kohaku. And travels TO HELL to retrieve Rin. And claims InuYasha. And talks down to his mother. I almost want to do Sessho-mama instead of Inu-papa, because she's so pretty! I am not nearly delicate enough for that though.) One of my Sesshy drawings was of him, an older Rin and Shippo (her looking at least twice his apparent age now) and InuYasha. Some people at school wanted me to draw Shippo older-looking in that drawing, because in the show, he is the same apparent age as Rin. I refused to in that one, but wanted to draw him older anyway. Thus this.
I suppose he's showing off some better-mastered illusory skills and being a tease while he's at it. He knows the girls love it. Really I just wanted to practice drawing him at a few different ages. (This is the second time drawing Shippo, including the previously described picture.) I was going to take the bow out of his hair, and leave him with just a regular tie, but I thought it was cute. I don't think he'd really care if it's more of a girl's style. Sure, InuYasha might tease him a little, but Rin thought it was cute when she was alive, and Sesshomaru could care less. Sango and Miroku died long before he looked old enough for it to matter.
Another first coming up, I'm actually going to TRY when I *digitally* ink and paint this. Hoshit.
