Yeah, which I realize don't really go with a flintlock, but they looked so cooooooool, you know?

Actually it depends on where and when. If paper or fine cloth was available for cartridges, then you used that, but you still kept your cartridges in something (a box or an apostle-like shell for some hunters) to protect it from damp. And if you inherited apostles from fifty-sixty years before and they carried about the right-sized powder-charge...

Anachronisms happen all the time. Particularly among folks who live by taking from other folks trading from all over the place. :D

I'm really liking that flag you drew. It looks perfect for a gnoll pirate! I'm trying to imagine the look on the person's face if they weren't both skulls now. It's In Your Face intimidating!
