So, I had one more spare piece of cardboard from a box mom was going to throw away, and one piece had already become the previous drawing, "Moving On".
But what of the second piece? Well, I took on the challenge to draw the many emotional nights I've had (too numerous to count), and decided that I wanted to draw/re-create the typical pose I take when I'm upset. The title "A Lone Wolf Cries Tonight" soon became the best title for it.
Say what you must, but I really loved taking on this challenge. The body was a little hard to draw, especially with the front paws bridged around the muzzle. There was one subtle adjustment that I added as I worked while actually drawing it on the cardboard, but that is what a concept it for. It's just an idea, and ideas can change. The other part that was tough was actually making Shadow look as if his arms were bent and cradled in his lap right at his elbows. Once the arms were drawn, then the hips became a problem. At points, his hip was either too thin or too high, or it just didn't look as though he sat with his knees up.
Eventually though, I got the hang of it, and got this concept down. Personally, it's one of the best concepts I've done.
