Only one person has ever thought my music was...awesome...and I've been forced to cut ties with them...I'm really glad you like it! I haven't heard the name though, I'll have to look them up!

I guess people just aren't into my stuff as much. I don't put much time or effort into my work, I just do it all in one shot, hence a lot of mistakes. The one person who ever REALLY appreciated my music was the only girl I'll ever love, but sadly her heart wasn't strong enough for a long-distance relationship. Half of the stuff I've posted on my soundcloud is vent music from that.

Maybe other people have different ideas of "awesome". I'm stuck somewhere between genres, writing this nonsense by ear. I write music because I enjoy it, I can pour my feelings into it. It doesn't really make sense to anyone though, it's just...music.

Well maybe the fact that it's just music is the reason why I get it, being a musician myself. I've never been particularly articulate what I feel with words, but music allows me to express myself in a way that I don't even need a single word. I think musicians from every single genre around would be able to relate to that.

I also know what it's like to feel that whatever you create is never good enough to even consider finishing, and that all you have to show for your efforts is failure after failure after failure. Trust me, I've been there, and have even been through that phase for the last few months: I haven't even written a full piece myself in over a year! But trust me when I say that the only person who going to motivate you to get that stuff done is yourself. Starting is always the hardest part, but things do get better with time, and you'll reflect back on why you struggled with it such a long time ago. Reflection is always good, it helps us to find ways to move forward :)

And as far improvisation goes, I wish I was able to improvise like you can! I can't really improvise to save my life, and am probably one the worst improvisers you'll find around. It's a great skill to have, and definitely one of the hardest skills to acquire imo. But I'd like to think that I'm a decent song-writer, I've definitely come a long way since my first written piece (when I wrote when I didn't even know any music theory what-so-ever! it makes ears bleed!), but it ain't something that is just gonna happen on its own. You really have to work for it! =3 Maybe I'm going a bit of track. But meh, that's what came to mind. Shame it took me 20 minutes to write XD no articulation with words hurr DX

Yeah, that's what I do. I can't always SAY what I think, so I write a song instead.

I don't really see my stuff as failures, it's just my own style of writing music. It seems that most people would consider it lower-quality though.

I'm not the best improvizer either, I just wing it. I don't know any music theory either. XD But like I said, I often use music to try to communicate ideas, so maybe that's where it comes from.
