Those of you who have been watching me long enough know this is my character Aeromere. He's a lot of fun to animate especially his saddle pattern and stripes. This is me getting one step closer to making the movie I've been talking about for so long.
The rough animation took me aprox 45 min while the lining and colouring took me about 5 hours. It took another 5 hours to render the video as I hate photoshop for making things unnecessarily complicated.
8 drawings, 15 fps. Drawings are all done in Paint Tool SAI, compiled in photoshop, and looped in movie maker with music.

Ah. Oh! Tere's a nice video I use for animations like this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uB2a2K6HGI
It shows in multiple angles, slow motion, and it's just amazing *a*

It is a nice animation, but I think hind legs should curve more instead of his back

Gating and running are very different motions. When a dog runs it tucks into the run, curving its back then snapping out pushing itself forward with its hind legs. When a dog gaits it performs more of a prance and it keeps it's head up and back relatively straight, it's legs cross and pull rather than push. You'll also notice when a dog is gating there is no air time whereas when. Running there is a split second of air time when the dog is fully tucked.
I agree with this person... It's a nice attempt, and something to be proud off. but there are some errors. The head is too stiff, the front legs are poping, the shoulders and hips aren't rolling and I noticed your using the wrist in the front paws, but not the ankles in the back (or heel... I can't find the write word so essensially our ankle their joint right after the toes.) It's main keys should be the crunched up part, where yes all 4 legs are cossing each other, and the extended full strecht, all 4 legs not touching the ground. I find they're not pushed as much as they can be.
But again, nice job, good effort, don't give up :).

This is actually really good. I like the coloring and your thin and smooth linework. Just note that the back legs shouldn't be touching the ground at the same time and I think it would look a bit nicer if you made the head move a bit more, but other than that I think it's close to perfect!
Thank you :)
I noticed that after the fact >.< on my animation after this one I made sure to keep the legs at different intervals http://rend-lostluck.deviantart.com.....lery/#/d5mrbf5 though this one is far from finished
I'm still learning so with practice I hope to get better ^^
