Word to the wise, what he is asking for is for helpful advice. By this, I mean give out some feedback that helps develop his skills, improves his works and otherwise results in better works in future from him.
A requirement of this is to add some weight to your statements so he can come away with a clear understanding of what you are talking about and where you see a problem (or feel he is doing things right). To put it in another light, it means to "qualify your statement".
