My very first HIM CD when I first heard of such a band came in 2005 when I first picked up "Love Metal". It wasn't hard to miss, for it was an all black album with a reflective golden heartagram on the front. I didn't get the 11 track version which has a bonus track called "Love's Requiem" on it, but still, the decision was made easy to draw out the visionary track to "The Funeral of Hearts". I especially love this song off this album, probably right next to "Fortress of Tears".
Here is the track, and keep in mind, this is HIM's song, not mine. http://youtu.be/I1qrCOBrZDg All thanks to the song go to HIM, not me.
The idea came as an idea I've thought about many times. Being a lone wolf. It even reflects it on my red collar as you might can see attached to the D-Ring. In the previous drawings when I had a mate, I had a gold bell on him, now it's a green heart-shaped lock, symbolizing that his heart will always belong to him until the right mate comes along and wants to unlock it and open the door to a wolf so passionate, caring and loving.
In this, I guess Shadow thought too hard to being a lone wolf and decided, maybe it was just time to bury his heart instead of lock it around his collar.
