This time, a Silver Fang and a Qualmi. I was just trying to apply what I figured out from this morning's painting, and I'm kinda happy about this.

Yeah. The werecats included were-lions, were-leopards and were-tigers, but they also included were-cheetahs and were-lynxes, plus two different domestic/wildcat types. Maybe I'm remembering too few! The Qualmi were for whatever reason really fond of puzzles and riddles.
There were nine tribes. I pulled out my old copy of Bastet last night to page through. Found my Qualmi character sheet oddly enough ^.^
The Qualmi were supposed to be thematically linked to the idea of water and snow and so had fluidity of thought hence the riddles stuff... really it was a stretch.

They also had werecoyotes, werehyenas, wererats, werefoxes, wereravens, werebears, werecrocodiles, weresnakes, weresharks, and werespiders.
In the game world they gave the excuse that the different shapechangers had a genocidal war a long time ago and the wolves essentially "won" it with the other races decimated and much more rare (except the foxes who appeared after the war and the coyotes who sort of flipped everyone the bird and tricked the wolves into thinking they had gotten ride of the coyotes)

Are you keeping an eye on the 25th Anniversary WTA product? IT's kind of a "Best of" rule edition that's got what people most loved about the original, should be like five volumes. Lots of the original artists and some of the essential original art. I'm really looking forward to it--missed the Kickstarter tho where you could have Ron Spenser draw you up as an Ajaba! *weeps*
