Oh geez, by the first movie do you mean Rebuild 1.0, or End of Evangelion?
The Rebuild series is excellent, in my opinion. It might actually be better than the original series from the 90s :o
but i MUST advise you to never watch End of Evangelion. People tend to leave it out of the canon.... just because it is extremely fucked up and horrible in EVERY way. i'm pretty sure Anno came up with it's premise just to torment the fans. xD
