I love how whimsical and storybook your style is; reminds me greatly of the kind of art/books I'd read as a kid. Which is perfect for Calvin and Hobbes, of course! :) Great work on this, thank you for sharing it.

I love that I knew who it was before I read your notes; and there's something sort of... tired, about this imagining of them, a little sad. I like it.

Oh so it was on purpose xD I thought that it was because the pictures you scanned were too big and the bottom lifted off and made it blurry o.o;

Just because it was the same on the bottom of a lot of your submissions that's what I seriously thought was happening xDD
Cause may scanner has a lifted ridge and my sketchbooks are larger than the scan surface xD

Mine does that too naturally, usually I scan all my sketches in two parts and then merge them in photoshop to avoid it. I think it was cause I used like a gradient mask thing for a little while on a blur layer thing and it usually left the bottom blurry.

I've thought about doing that, but I never thought it would go over very well >_< well maybe I should try that next time I scan from my sketchbook

It goes very well! You just put both scans in the same file, select both layers and go to Edit - Auto-align and Edit - auto-Blend. It'll make it all perfect and everything! :3
