2005, and since then I've changed the wings around a bit. I used to do them like everyone else (attaching them near the shoulder blades), but Swainston (author of a book with a winged man in it) was right.. it doesn't make much sense. Forgetting for a moment that man-shaped animals are not good candidates for flight for many reasons, on top of it most of them have a center of gravity that's in the upper body. Her way is a bit less aesthetic, but in the end makes more sense as far as flight laws and realism are concerned, if such things can be said in cases like this.
