Most know the joy that the right music can bring as a listener, but you have experienced something truly special if you experience that song as someone who plays an instrument. The satisfaction and mirth the music can bring borders on ecstasy. You can be taken to realms unknown and fantastic by music! This is a commission for Kasar, of his character playing the violin.

this piece made me cry with joy....
bit of backstory:
one of my many personalities (multiple personality disorder) believes himself as a werewolf...he was same persona that cause 'me' to take up the violin as a child.
this made me remember how much fun i had as a child with that kind of mentality while in his mindset playing music.

It really is a wonderful thing to be able to play an instrument.
The lighting, mood, atmosphere of the piece really shows such beauty that is the arts, be it the wonderful illustration you did or the wonderful thing that is music.
I feel so inspired and healed suddenly.
Thank you for this piece of awesomeness.

I am reminded of Fiddler on the Roof for some reason. Care to take a gander why? LOL
Anyway, I really adore the lighting effects you have going on.
If you don't mind my asking, what type of tools do you use in Photoshop that render your art absolutely breath-taking?
I've been arting for YEARS and I still don't understand just how people manage to gain these magnificent skills that I simply don't possess as of yet.
Thank you. :3

Thank you! There's a tutorial by another artists that describes by process fairly well, if you care to take a look - http://tasteslikeanya.deviantart.co.....Long-204839464
It's still on VCL (http://us-p.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/...../henna_dog.jpg). It's simple and pleasing to the eye. It was nice then and still is now. One of the first of your works I archived.
Wow, you got the violin perfect! That is a rare feat. It reminds me a bit of a sketch I did a while back: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/295754/
Our statement couldn't be more true. An uncle of mine Is a 63 yr cello player. To listen to those melodies takes the mind away to far away places. Often the tone and rythm set the scene, it can be dark or passionate, adventurous or just whatever! Nothing comes close to what a live muscian can induce in the listener.
I love this piece, it invokes such amazing memories. :) very well done, can't imagine the amount or work involved. :)

Two thoughts: First, I agree 109% with the sentiment. I'm an Irish/traditional musician and there is _nothing_ that gets me high like playing music in a group, especially for an audience. Secondly, as a fiddle player, thank you for for accurately depicting the instrument and posture! Heck, this guy holds the fiddle better than I do ;)
Here's another one, if you don't mind traditional media...

Thanks! One person over on SF said that Willie's expression is "very intense" and "looks like he's playing just for you."
My mom used to play violin in a string quartet many years ago, and was also part of a local concert association, so I've had many opportunities to be around string instruments (she tried to get me to learn how to play, but my instruments of choice were the tympani and chimes (or tubular bells, if you prefer) when I was 1st chair percussion...but that was 37 years ago. :P ).

Yeah, the reason why I loved playing both the tympani and the chimes were because they help set the mood. They can either be joyous and full of pomp or they can be very somber. You definitely have to be on your toes when you play both instruments, because you have to go from base clef (for the tympani) to treble clef (for the chimes / tubular bells).
