That Sinking Feeling...

Since it's been over six months since I graduated from DigiPen, I think it's enough time to consider posting my Senior Project. I'm happy with the experience I got from this animation, but I see a lot of room for improvement as well.

Hope you enjoy our little story.

Very neat! The CG and traditional animation worked together surprisingly well. I thought that might be a bit jarring, but it actually felt really 'right' with the tone that was struck.

We worked on this for a whole year for PRJ400/450, and we learned a ton about how not to do it. ;)

We worked on this for a year, though we had four or five other classes to deal with. Two animators, one environment artist, one 2D animator, and one character designer. I did all the animation from when Timmy turns around and runs away from the sink onwards.

Remember pestering you to get a look at this. Finally glad to be able to. This is really quite sweet and I do like the meshing of traditional and CGI that differentiates between reality and the monstrous that isn't really a monster. Well done.

I used 3Ds Max with the Cryptic AR rig customized with facial rigging, and Adobe After Effects for the compositing. Lotsa fun stuff.

Oh my god! Love it! Mostly, I admit, for the theme of monster friends :) When I was a little kid, I always hoped something I was scared of would wind up befriending me, just like this. So I love stories where that happens.
