Despite their title, "Princess" Octellas are not really sentient's or royal creatures of the Everraising ocean, they are rather surprisingly "regal" formed sea creatures that many have refereed to that of an actual princess. Coupled with their sole birth rate of female adds to said fact.
Despite no male of their race, The Princess Octella's have a usual birth rate of 100 egg's per year during their "birth season", but they actually only have a small percentage of the eggs actually give birth to another Octella, the rest tend to be of other small aquatic creatures the Octella mother had mated with prior, the chances any of the one hundred egg's laid during this time to give birth to another Princess Octella is about ten percent.
Octellas are rather harmless, they are carnivores dining primarily on other much smaller fish upon the ocean. Some fishers have even kept of some caught as home pets as they have decent lifespans, at times they have, rare it has been, outlived their masters. A trait they have that has added to them being target for catching outside a decent taste of meat, is they have an innate ability to find rare materials, which many treasure hunters have used to find sunken gold and rare ores within the ocean and beyond.
