Last of the "Good Clean Fun" series of sketches done on half-sheets, pencils posted 10 months earlier in scraps.
See? Tina can dress like something other than a schoolgirl. What is a bit more difficult is resisting the temptation to detour through a patch of mud, as her Chuck Taylors will attest. Not only that, but by attempting to sneak in the back door, she's succeeded in tracking mud into the house in a big way. I don't think she noticed till her feet started to slide on the tile floor. This wouldn't be the first time she's done this, although the last time it was depicted, it was on a carpet. I don't think any sort of Swiffer will handle these footprints though. Partly inspired by an old Lestoil commercial
Technical:
This is a simplified coloration. Cell-shading, single-layer color job, over Inkscape lineart. This was done before I started tracing actual pencil/brush strokes, so the line weight is flat throughout. Lighting effects are minimal--my intent was to depict the room as mostly lit by the light coming through the screen door. Possibly the biggest time sink was picking out all those somewhat neutral colors in the backdrop. I can never find enough interior colors that look OK in a residential setting.
Pencil on fanfold, inked in Inkscape, colored in Micrografx Picture Publisher 10. Single-level image, 27MB original.

Yay for slippery mud! I know you do awesome stuck work, RR, but I also really enjoy it when you draw the girls slipping thanks to unsteady ground, slippery muddy surfaces, etc;...
I love the way you've done the muddy footprints to show that she's skidding on the tiled floor. :)
