which programme do you use to colour and such? Normally you can just go into canvas and resize it down to 100x 100
I normally start my icon canvases at 500x500 and then resize down

I use PSE8. The problem is I can't just draw straight onto Photoshop yet (wish I was that good) so I sketch it on paper, scan it, and then ink it on Photoshop. Can you still resize like that?

you should be able to make say ...500 x 500 , 1000x 1000 canvas etc , but it needs to be equal if that makes sense.Then open your scan , highlight what you want and then paste it back into the blank canvas , then resize then right click and use transform until everything you want in it fits
