I'm so glad to hear an opinion from someone who's played the game that isn't completely fucking butthurt for once. X_X I am SO TIRED of this hatred towards the game as of late. As for your review, it's as honest as I'd expect it to be from an actual video gamer who pretty much just picked that specific entry of the series out of the pile instead of starting at the beginning. Thanks to your review, I'm pretty confident that most newbies such as yourself can get a feeling of satisfaction the game usually brings to the table, as well as the exciting amount of difficulty that comes with sneaking around and sticking the trusty Hidden Blade into folks' necks without being seen. I am still relatively new to the series myself, but I started at the very beginning, something I suggest you do now that you've started at the end. Trust me, you NEED to see how this entire rollercoaster ride began. You will quite litearlly see the writing on the wall soon.
...as for the annoying memory borders, they are pretty much literally part of both the story and the gameplay, designed to keep you from entering areas not relevant to the story yet or what you need to accomplish. When it gets to collectathons, yes, these can be VERY FUCKING ANNOYING, but it's for the best. Trust me. Also, once you start playing the other games, expect to run into these borders a lot. It feels like unnecessary safety tape at first, but they're there for a reason...hell, if you want something of an explanation for those, just look at the first few minutes of the first game!
Oh and I almost forgot. Remember. Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. He who increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
...I'm a stickler for cool mottos.

Thanks a lot, man! Yeah, I saw a lot of stupid reviews on it. I hate when reviews start at the beginning of a series; cut to the chase already! I am definitely interested on how all of this started. Yeah, I know why the boarders are there, it just seemed too be weird looking. I guess the player needs to also remember that Desmond is in the Animus and not really in that time. The only bad part about this game was just the multiplayer.
I am very glad you liked it! I will say I have always enjoyed that motto even before playing this game.
