too early, forgot to type rest of question: Is this Macro photography? If so, what lens are you using? You've got a bit of focus fall off on one side; and I din't know Hemingway and guns went together.. :p

Actually didn't take this picture, it's a piece of stock photography I found online somewhere. I just stuck the text onto it, like Duchamp and his ready-mades. It doesn't look like macro photography to me though. If I was shooting this picture, I'd just use a fast lens (I've a 50mm f/1.5 that would work nicely) with some fine grained film, in the 100-150 ASA range. I'll upload a picture that I took with this lens, though, I believe I was using 400 ASA film.

As for Hemingway and guns.. Yes, yes they do go together, double plus together. As do Hemingway and bull-fighting, boxing, big game hunting, deep-water fishing, warfare, and all of those other sorts of things that manly men do.

The real 'joke' behind his picture is that Hemingway killed himself with an Abercrombie & Fitch side by side 12 Gauge.
